This is the first comic strip to feature my good buddy Phil! This also the first time I dared to use the convention of a silhouette which I think worked out pretty well!

I’m not exactly sure how it happens, but there are times when an unwashed dish or a misplaced paper will augment itself. Unseen, randomly placed items will multiply and duplicate until my entire living space has become an unrecognizable environment my mom would refer to as a “pigsty”! And what’s worse is that all the while, I watch this gradual disarray and think, “Hmm. I should really do something about this before it gets out of hand.” But I don’t. Well… that’s not entirely true. Sometimes I start cleaning up but it’ll be this long and cumbersome process that takes all day.
And then, on that one faithful night, I’ll suddenly be faced with a totally unexpected visit from someone. And somehow I’ve found the astonishing ability to not only immaculately clean and organize my place into perfection but do it in record time. It’s so weird and yet it’s happened time and again. And so this begs the question, “Why can’t I clean like this everytime?”
Working in a restaurant, you might be surprised at who you might have to be to get the best tip possible. Some tables are snooty or in a rush so you have to be a little like them- to the point and quick with service. Other tables are so laid back that you could practically pull up a chair and converse for hours. And then there’s the extra rare table featuring the attractive female who flirts with me. A table so rare that it has only happened once. Thankfully she did not order the special.
